Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American as well as a Canadian musician and singer. She is the author of more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music is classified as alternative rock and folk. Yet, they contain influences from jazz hip-hop punk and funk. Ani diFranco was among the first artist to launch her own record label in the year 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icon. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd of 1970, the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco whom she had become acquainted while at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is of Italian descent and her mother was born in Montreal. Ani diFranco composed and performed the track 32 Flavors. It was included as the fifth single from DiFranco's 1995 studio album Not a Pretty Girl. Another version of the song was featured on the soundtrack of the 1999 Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco apologized for arranging a conference in Louisiana on an old plantation for slaves. The course was postponed, however, she did not express any regret. DiFranco apologized several days following. Although she is best known as Little Folksinger, her music covers a variety of genres. The collaborators she has with her include Pete Seeger and Chuck D to Prince. The singer hails from New Orleans. Ani diFranco, and Kristen Ford are together.
