Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a playback singer, actress and musician. Her main work is as musician and performer for Tamil and Malayalam language films. She first made an appearance in the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut with Annayum raolum. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian home at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea's father was an attorney at the Madras High Court lawyer. Andrea is the youngest sister of a researcher assistant Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was raised near Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. She has said that she was quite a geek and was psychiatrist when she passed her 12th board exams.Andrea was a classical pianist at the age of eight. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style band she joined at 10 years old, was her foundation for early singing and music. Also, she was a theatre performer in college. She also served as an EVAM Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her stage career by appearing in Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. Andrea was in a new Leo coffee commercial alongside the actor Shiva in 2006. The actress was also part of a show that was shown on Podhigai. She has performed all over India. She had a small role in the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). After performing a number of songs in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu she was asked to appear the main female characters in his upcoming film Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea appears as Kalyani who is wife and mother to a man with whom she has a romantic relationship. Andrea was picked for the part after actors Simran Shubana, and Tabu were invited to audition for the film. The film debuted at the start of 2010. She agreed in 2011 to play a minor acting role as a support in Venkatprabhu's film Mankatha, which released in August 2011, In 2013, she made her debut in Malayalam film with Rajeev Ravi's romance film Annayum Rasoolum.
