Hilary is the daughter of Susan Duff, Robert Erhard Duff, and Haylie Duff. Hilary was inspired by her sister's desire to travel with the Cecchetti Ballet as a young girl. While the star loved to dance, her real interest was in the camera. She began her career acting as an actress shortly afterwards.
